So it looks like Blogger is today converting all my existing blogs to this new blog format they're calling Dano and which is receiving mixed reviews. I can attest for that; during my own beta testing of Dano I've found that sometimes Blogger just doesn't seem to want to post to my Dano blog. Hopefully they'll have the kinks worked out soon. Otherwise, it's time to begin searching for a new blog tool.

So the new Apple G5 computer has now officially arrived. (See my previous post for an explanation.)

Today I performed a stock split on my blogstock for this blog, bringing the price down to .54 cents. (It was hovering at around a $54 price prior to the split.) So if you're just starting out at BlogShares, and don't have alot of money, you can now buy shares in my blog!

In case you haven't yet heard, BlogShares is a fantasy Stock Market-like game on the Internet. It's free to play and may even teach you a thing or two about the Stock Market (although it's currently still operating at unrealistic proportions--still, it's a heckuva alot of fun)!

Rest? Hell, we'll sleep when we're dead.

So apparently Apple posted the specs for its new G5 processor on its Apple Store website a few nights ago. The specs are as follows:

  • 1.6GHz, 1.8GHz or Dual 2GHz PowerPC G5 processors
  • Up to 1GHz processor bus
  • Up to 8GB of DDR SDRAM
  • Fast Serial ATA hard drives
  • AGP 8X Pro graphics options from NVIDIA or ATI
  • Three PCI or PCI-X expansion slots
  • Three USB 2.0 ports
  • One FireWire 800, two FireWire 400 ports
  • Bluetooth & AirPort Extreme ready
  • Optical and analog audio in and out

These specs have since been removed from the website. It's been reported that Apple inadvertedly posted these specs early, having intended to post them this upcoming Monday during the Worldwide Developers Conference, where they are also expected to preview Panther, the next major upgrade of the OS X operating system. (It appears that some screenshots of Panther have been leaked as well.)

Can't make it to California? That's okay. You can still take a ride on Goliath.

Here's a fun and touching story you may have missed for Father's Day. Harlan Coben of the New York Times wrote a remembrance of his "hopelessly unhip" father, The Key To My Father. (Registration required)

Are you lovin' it? yet? McDonald's will be launching a new ad campaign with the new theme line, "I'm lovin' it." Hopefully obese American won't be lovin' it too much, or those will make for some interesting last words...

My apologies for not updating this blog more often lately. A situation has developed at home which I need to focus on, so although I will be updating this blog as often as possible, I need to attend to this more pressing matter.

Stay tuned!
